The Prince George Cycling Club is an inclusive group that advocates for road, mountain, and urban cycling!
We hold events, camps, and clinics for our members. We are responsible for the upkeep of the Pidherny Recreation Site, and we manage our volunteer trail building and maintenance groups. We love hosting events in the community and enjoy seeing the smiling faces of cyclists around town.
Since time immemorial, Indigenous peoples have walked gently on the diverse traditional territories where the PGCC community is grateful to live, work, learn, and play. We are committed to building and nurturing relationships with Indigenous peoples, we acknowledge their traditional lands, and we thank them for their hospitality. We gratefully acknowledge the land that we ride on is the traditional, unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh people.
Mountain biking, especially throughout British Columbia, has exploded in popularity over the last 10 years. The PGCC is proud to have a large member base of riders representing all ages & disciplines. There are many mountain bike trails throughout the Prince George area for all riding styles and levels of experience.
Road roads and racing is an important part of the PGCC. Check out our event schedule for more details on upcoming rides and races in Prince George.
Many members of the PGCC are commuters or casual cyclists enjoying the pathways. Together with road riders or mountain bikers heading to the trails, they all share a diverse environment that includes provincial highways, city streets, and park pathways. We don’t have a good word to describe all these different cyclists, so we coined the term Urban Cyclists.
We share a lot of information on Facebook.
