Year End Wind Up and Election of Officers 1


Save the Date: October 16 2016

Join us at the Moose Hall (663 Douglas St.) at 6:00pm. We’ll fill your bellies, recognize our volunteers, hand-out some awards, play some games and have an election.

There are multiple board positions coming available! If the following position sounds like something you would be interested in doing please prepare to put forward your name forward for nomination. Voting will take place immediately following your nomination.

Executive Committee:

President:

  • Regularly chair meetings of the Board of Directors of the Club.
  • Prepare and distribute the agenda prior to each Board of Directors meeting to all Director members.
  • Organize meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • Be the chief executive officer of the Club and supervise the other officers in the execution of their duties.
  • Be the primary spokesperson for the Club.
  • perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Communications Director:

  • Coordinate the Club newsletter.
  • Compose media releases for club events and campaigns.
  • Act as Club spokesperson in the absence of the President.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Secretary:

  • Responsible for keeping the Board of Directors and Executive Committee meeting minutes and policy up to date.
  • Be familiar with the Club Constitution, By-laws and policies
  • Have custody of all records and documents of the society except those required to be kept by the treasurer
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors.

Representatives:

Mountain Director:

  • Keep the club apprised of all mountain cycling events and programs.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Committee.

Road Director:

  • Keep the Club apprised of all road cycling events and programs.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Committee.

Urban Director:

  • Keep the club apprised of all urban cycling events and programs.
  • Chair the Club’s Urban Cycling Coalition.
  • Act as primary with the City of Prince George is relation to cycling networks and infrastructure.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Committee.
